Angie Perrin Awarded The Queen’s Nurse Title

Angie Perrin, Clinical Education Lead, was delighted to learn that she had been awarded the prestigious title of Queen’s Nurse by community nursing charity The Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI).

The Queen's Nurse Award is an acknowledgment to those nurses who strive to deliver an exceptional individual contribution to patient care and the nursing profession. Angie’s ongoing commitment to driving nurse excellence through education sits at the core of her values and she has demonstrated this throughout her nursing career. This core belief is an essential requirement and provides nurses with the strength to deliver the best quality of care to all patients.

Angie also currently holds the Acting Chair position for Association of Stoma Care Nurses UK (ASCN UK) a national UK professional organisation that offers the opportunity for stoma care nurses to improve their specialist role and to uphold the profession. 2023 witnessed the publication of the book Stoma Care Specialist Nursing: A Guide for Clinical Practice which Angie co-edited. This highlights how highly regarded Angie is within in the Stoma Care Nursing community both nationally and globally.

We are extremely proud that Angie has received such a prestigious recognition and underlines her passion to develop nursing standards.

Beyond her professional achievements, Angie is an inspiring colleague and mentor, embodying the values celebrated by the Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI).
