Ian Walker - 10k a Day
Ian Walker, a man from Worcester, is raising money for two charities close to his heart. These are Purple wings charity, a charity that supports people with an ostomy, as well as Worcester Street Café, who work to support the homeless and vulnerable.
To raise cash for these two charities, Ian will be taking on the challenge of running 10k a day throughout the month of August.
“This will go towards helping them to continue to provide vital services they offer to people who are sometimes in their darkest hour.”
Ian had suffered for 6 years with Ulcerative Colitis, when he needed emergency life-saving surgery in March 2019. ‘Stan’ the stoma has given Ian a second chance.
He has been inspired since the operation and is embracing his new start in life by raising cash for organisations that mean a lot to him. We love that Ian is wearing our Confidence BE® bag in white to do this.
We were very moved by Ian’s generous act of kindness and compassion. It has been our pleasure to donate a total of £100 to this cause to support Ian in achieving his goal.
We wish him all the best as he embarks on this new challenge.
